Facebook is testing an update that makes it easier for users to update their status on-the-go.
Mobile moments
According to Tech Crunch, Facebook is trialling an in-app search engine that lets users scour websites and articles.
Once located, these can be added to the users' status update through the "Add a Link" button on Facebook's flagship app.
Snowball effect
It's been a big year for Facebook's mobile efforts. Messenger continues to gain new features, while Instant Articles is a potential game-changer in the mobile news space.
With over half of Facebook's 1.3 billion users on mobile, anything the platform can do to keep them chatting (as opposed to Googling or tweeting) will be good for a healthy bottom line.
