While the holidays is a time to reflect, relax and possibly over-indulge, it can be tricky managing your social media accounts.
Here are four festive tips to keep on top of social over the silly season.
1. Merry message
The holiday season is when people turn off, so make sure your content reflects this.
Instead of pushing a heavily branded message, consider lightening the tone with more festive content, or temporarily changing your profile photos to something more seasonal.
2. Schedule with care
Scheduling tools like HootSuite are a great way for pushing out content in advance.
However beware of leaving your social accounts on complete remote control.
Allow for unexpected events to pop up and make sure you check-in regularly to respond to comments or tweak your content if required.
3. Christmas card
This time of year is perfect for reaching out with the personal touch.
Whether it's a blog post, e-card or newsletter, use this period to send your clients a personalised message thanking them for their support.
Besides being socially savvy, it's a nice thing to do and might net you more pressies from Santa.
4. Sign off
If you're taking a break, make sure you signal this on all your social channels and website.
A simple announcement outlining which dates you'll be away will ensure customers know when they can expect a response.
