Google Express has just rolled out a new name and a bigger reach.
Social shoppers
One year ago Google launched Google Shopping Express, a same-day delivery service.
Now known simply as Google Express, the service is also expanding its list of merchants, products and areas of operation.
Users in Chicago, Boston and Washington DC can now order products online or via a mobile device for same-day shipping at a cost of US$4.99 per delivery, or a US$10 month subscription.
Retail partners include Walgreens, Costco, PetSmart and Barnes and Noble.
While lucky customers in the San Francisco Bay Area can now order alcohol via Google Express.
Amazon challenge
While Google dominates search (and many other things) Amazon remains top dog of the online shopping world.
With both companies wielding massive resources and clout, the fight might get lively as these behemoths battle to become boss of online bargains. That's if Facebook doesn't get involved.
