A new study has revealed how teens and twenty-somethings are using mobile, and what they want from brands.
Mobile
The Coming of Age on Screens report from Crowd DNA surveyed the mobile and Facebook habits of users aged 13 – 24 across 13 countries.
It found that young people use five devices on average, while 75% own a smartphone.
Hybrid world
Over half (60%) of respondents would rather give up TV than their phones, while 72% admitted they can't leave home with their trusty mobile.
Young adults are also masters at multi-screening – 79% of those surveyed use their mobile device while watching TV.
Photo booth
Crowd DNA also discovered that young adults express themselves on Facebook predominantly through sharing photos, videos, information about themselves, and jokes.
It also found that 53% of respondents were happy to hear from brands on social media, while 56% only pay attending to ads from brands they trust.
A similar number said they would share interesting ad content served on their mobiles.
