Improvements for Messenger Group Chats

With over 2.5 million new Groups created on Messenger every day in 2017, Facebook is bringing more control to admin privileges.

More power, more control

Amongst the usual abilities of approving and promoting membership, Facebook is making it easier to add others to group chats with more options to set new defaults.

Up to 250 people can take part in a group chat and now admins can respond with emojis for quick acknowledgements.

Admins can now also manage group payments which can be used for something as mundane as chipping in on a restaurant bill or going in on purchasing a group gift.

A/V on scene

Facebook has introduced video and voice conferencing for group chats, allowing for an impressive 50 members at a time, and able to add others to the conference in real-time.

Along with standards like emojis, nicknames, photos, and text colours, admins have everything you would expect to keep up with current communication trends.

Have you used Groups? What are your thoughts on the new privileges? Give us your thoughts in the comment section.
