June has been a big month for video on Twitter.
Earlier in the month Twitter-owned video app Vine overtook Instagram for most shares on Twitter, and now the micro-blogging service has launched #FollowMe.
Tweet tales
#FollowMe allows users to create and share videos that include their top tweets, photos and followers. Unlike Vine, there is no limit on the length of videos. The feature is the product of a partnership between Twitter and online management service Vizify.
“Now you can uncover your most engaging photos, Vine videos and Tweets and turn them into a highlight reel of your best moments on Twitter with just a few clicks,” Twitter explained in a blog post.
The movies can be enhanced with a library of over one million licensed songs courtesy of a partnership with Rumblefish.
Stars in their eyes
NBA stars Kobe Bryant and Glee star Amber Riley have already made #FollowMe videos.
If it takes off, #FollowMe could provide a way for brands to attract new followers through engaging content.
To start using #FollowMe sign in to Vizify, then authorise Vizify to access your Twitter account.
