A lack of contact and support for Facebook and Instagram has caused frustration for marketers for years, but now it looks like that issue could be solved for some people.
Why? Because Meta has upgraded its business support options. Now called Meta Pro Team, small businesses have a way to get one-on-one support for a range of issues that may have caused headaches in the past.
How has Meta updated its business support options?
The Meta Pro Team is an improved version of the Facebook Marketing Experts program, which provides free support for Instagram or Facebook marketers. Areas the Experts helped in included:
- Maximising in-app performance.
- Technical account queries.
- Tips, insights and more.
The Pros are here
As Facebook explains, the Meta Pro Team is here to help small businesses with all aspects of their online advertising.
“The Meta Pro Team offers support to help small businesses grow their online advertising impact, from top-of-the-marketing-funnel goals down to direct response objectives.
Our pros help ensure you have strategic guidance to reach and connect with your customers in moments that matter most, no matter whether you’re a novice advertiser or have been advertising for many years.”
Three levels of support
Meta says there are three levels of support provided to businesses.
- Meta Marketing Pro provides live, tailored help to produce the best business result across the Meta landscape.
- Meta Technical Pro helps give hands-on, live guidance for users who need help installing or optimising Pixel, Conversions API or Product Catalogue.
- Meta Support Pro gives marketers help with billing, ad restriction issues and troubleshooting policy.
All three levels make it easy for brands to get help with their digital campaigns at any time.
If your account is deemed suitable for help, it will be reviewed and you’ll be presented with recommendations to help you work through your problem – whether that’s with ads, technical stuff or general billing questions.
For Meta Marketing, the Pros will also walk you through some marketing strategies you may not have thought of to help your business reach its goals.

“Working with my Meta Marketing Pro has been amazing. The expert advice I’ve gotten as well as recommendations for business have been incredibly valuable – not only do they help me feel like I’m on the right track, but they also give me new perspectives to improve what I’m currently doing.”
All help is free, but you will be charged for any campaigns you decide to run after.
Open to all
However, it is important to note that not all businesses will have access to the Pros. Somewhat cryptically, Meta says it will reach out to companies that it feels is the right fit for the program.
“The program isn’t currently offered to all advertisers, but we’re working to expand it in the future. We’ll reach out to you if your business is a good fit. In the meantime, please check out Meet the Pro Team and the pros to learn more about your business eligibility.”
Also, note the word “advertisers” above.
For those whose primary focus on Facebook and Instagram is organic, this is probably not for you. Although that could change in time.
With Meta’s ad revenue outlook appearing slightly more sluggish moving forward, this is most likely a revenue protection tactic rather than a charitable helping hand for all.
Therefore, in other words, if you’re scratching their proverbial back, they may deem you worthy of some reciprocal scratching.
Or not, as the case may be.
Even agencies
It’s interesting to note that agencies or consultants can use the program.
For brands and marketers, getting a piece of this support pie could go a long way to alleviating some of those well-known Facebook struggles. The frustrating thing is that you can’t apply to join, so you may never get to experience what life is like on the other side.
But if you are granted access, having a free resource like this at your fingertips would certainly be a boost.
