While it didn't have the best start to the year, Twitter has steadily bounced back with growing profits and users.
A new Buy Now button may help further tweak the platform's performance.
Buy Now
The Buy Now button has begun appearing on tweets under photos of products from shopping network Fancy.
First spotted by Re/code, the tweets included a description of the product, its price and the option to buy.
For now the Buy Now button only appears on the Twitter app, and does not lead to a purchase.
Pay day
It's possible the button is one of Twitter's many ongoing experiments, many of which never see the light of day.
However the feature makes sense for Twitter, who could potentially open a new revenue stream by connecting with consumers directly. And charge brands to use the Buy Now button.
Stay tuned.
