Corporate email just became a little more familiar for most Android users as Google's Gmail app introduces support for Microsoft Exchange accounts.
All-encompassing apps
The feature was previously available in the Gmail app on Google's own Nexus phones, but not third-party Android devices such as Samsung's Galaxy range and HTC and LG phones.
With an update to version 6.4, however, all users can add their corporate email account to the popular Gmail app.
Some of the features now available to Exchange users include Gmail's spam filtering and inbox organisation such as labels, categories and archiving.
iOS
There is no word if Google will bring Exchange to its Gmail app on iOS, however it appears unlikely given the iOS app never matched the Android app's access to Hotmail, Outlook and Yahoo.
Regardless, one of the most comprehensive email apps on Android just got better.
