Home-craft marketplace Etsy has released an updated version of its smartphone app.
Festive season ease
Leading into the festive season, the online retailer has added new seller tools and languages to its remote device applications.
“Etsy wanted to extend the user experience by introducing the ability for sellers to list new items anytime, anywhere. This, along with the addition of new languages, boosts shop management for the seller and makes organisation from mobile devices a breeze,” says Etsy.
The Etsy smartphone application can now be used in Dutch, French, German and British English.
Taking care of business
With an increasing number of consumers making their purchases away from the desktop, Etsy said they felt mobile product development was a priority to stay relevant and keep the site growing at a rate reflection of the times.
Based on trends this year to date, mobile shopping on Etsy will continue to increase as a source of traffic this Christmas holiday season.
Recent statistics have shown that the app has been downloaded over 2.8 million times since launching last November, with 1 in 4 visits coming from mobile devices.
By giving both sellers and buyers a streamlined extension of the online experience, the updated software will no doubt ease the Christmas shopping burden for many a consumer.
