Evernote, the service which lets users store and edit documents across a wide range of media, has launched a new Business App aimed at SME's.
Brands take note
Evernote Business launched this week and includes all the features of Evernote and Evernote Premium, in addition to new business tools and features.
These include the ability for companies to create and share meeting notes, tasks and research with employees via new Business Notebooks.
Existing Evernote users can keep their Personal Notebooks, which remain private.
Another feature is the Business Library, which combines all Business Notebooks in one place to give employees remote access to content such as documents and projects.
Gaining on Google Apps?
Evernote's CEO Phil Libin recently stated the 66 per cent of Evernote's 45 million global users currently use the service at work, but without either the knowledge or blessing of their employers.
Evernote Business will be hoping to woo these users to the new offering.
Priced at US $10 a month, Evernote Business costs roughly the same as the full Google Apps for Business suite and is aimed at businesses with less than 300 employees.
Australia waiting
Evernote Business is now available in the U.S., U.K., Canada, France, Germany, Switzerland and Japan, with further countries expected to be included over the following months.
