Facebook has recently rolled out a bunch of new features of its Slideshow Ads. Here's what you need to know.
Music mojo
You can now add text and music to your Slideshows. Text can be selected from templates and a variety of colours.
Music is available from various (Facebook-selected) themes, however you'll soon be able to upload your own tracks.
Imaging
Facebook has also increased the range of stock images you can add to your ads, without having to supply your own creative. Tthere are now thousands of images to choose from.
Videos can now be converted into Slideshows, using ten stills to create the ad. Videos will be adapted to detect users' connection speed, and adjust the playback speed accordingly.
Finally, marketers can now create slideshows via their Android phone or tablet.
Slide of hand
Slideshow ads were first launched in October last year on Facebook and Instagram, as a way for brands to create inexpensive ad campaigns.
The ads have been a hit, and have since been viewed in over 200 countries.
