Two recent studies are showing that Google Assistant is still outperforming Alexa and Siri when it comes to being the best in the business.
The stats have spoken
In a recent study performed by Stone Temple Consulting, a sampling of 5000 different queries to various assistants have been tabulated and the results are telling.
Google Assistant demonstrated the strongest percentage of fully and correct answers with around 97%, followed by Cortana at 95%, Google Assistant Home at 94%, Alexa at 83%, and Siri at 80%.
Suffice to say, Google’s main competition would be Microsoft’s Cortana, both seemingly to be leagues ahead of Siri, which has not waned in popularity even with less accurate results.
The breakdown
According to a second study performed by ROAST, Google Assistant was grilled with 10,000 questions to see how many it could answer correctly. The answer? About 45%.
On a spectrum of questions ranging from transport, to utilities, to restaurants, the results were far ranging, with property and transport yielding the least accuracy. A full breakdown can be found here.
The most interesting tidbits yielded by the new data is that Google Assistant performed stronger on mobile than the home model.
Alexa proved to be the most improved while Google would make reading errors from time to time. The battle of the AI assistant has just begun.
Have you used any of the home virtual assistants? What’s your experience been with Google Assistant? Let us know in the comments beneath.
