Whilst it's not quite ready to handle galactic transportation, Google Home can now purchase items at your command.
Buy in
Using Google Assistant (a feature of Google Home), you're now able to issue voice commands to buy things from retailers signed up with Google Express. These include Costco, Bed Bath and Beyond, Target, and Toys"R"Us.
To get shopping, simply utter a command such as "Google, order more coffee" and clever tech will take care of the rest, arranging for items to be delivered directly to your door.
Baby steps
Amazon has offered a similar service with Alexa since last June. And while Amazon provides a wider range of products, Google has the advantage of having major retailers on board.
