Google has just announced a range of new tools aimed at helping business owners get more exposure online.
Google-eyed
The service, Google My Business, is aimed at businesses that have little previous online experience or exposure.
“The Internet is connecting more businesses with their people every day. However, our users tell us that finding these loyal customers can be complex and time-consuming.
“We believe it shouldn’t be. That’s why we are happy to introduce Google My Business – a free and easy way to find and connect with your people, wherever you are,” Google's Dan Pritchett & Dennis Troper wrote in a blog post.
One-stop shop
Google for Business offers business owners pretty much everything they need to get started on Google.
Business owners can update their company info on Search, Maps and Google+. They can also add a virtual tour of their business for customers, in addition to being across current customer reviews of their business.
On the slightly less philanthropic note, Google for Business also encourages users to connect with customers via Google+, and shows how brands can benefit from spending bucks on Google's AdWords Express.
There's also a Google My Business Android app, with an iOS version launching soon.
Step right up
Google My Business looks like a solid offering for business owners that want to increase their online presence, but are unsure of how to take the first steps.
And of course if things go well they might one day become Google AdWords customers, or at a stretch G+ converts.
