GoSquared challenges Google Analytics

Analytics is one of the most important aspects of any online strategy. It is also one of the most misunderstood and overlooked.

All in all the updated API includes 10 new metrics. The two key features are ‘Now Dashboard’, which shows real-time data on your website and allows tweaks to be made around this, and ‘Trends’, which gives historical and trending information about content.

Aside from the metrics, the best thing about the new API is how GoSquared presents it: in big, easy-to-read charts that makes the mountains of data easier to digest.

GoSquared currently powers over 40,000 websites and tracks billions of page views per month.

While it might be a drop in the analytics ocean compared to Google’s platform, it does offer a fresh way to looking at website metrics.
