Daily deal website Groupon has started 2012 with the launch of the Merchant Centre, a new dashboard tool that gives merchants a more comprehensive overview of their campaigns and customer base.
Campaign tracking and demographics
The new dashboard tool allows merchants to track multiple campaigns such as feature deals, Groupon Now! and Groupon Rewards.
Customer demographics such as age, sex and post code are now available, giving merchants a greater insight into their customer base.
Real time customer feedback
The most significant feature of the Merchant Centre is the addition of customer feedback.
Groupon now surveys customers after redeeming their vouchers, and merchants can access real-time customer feedback and track comments, customer acquisition and ROI from Groupon marketing services.
Merchant Centre a deal breaker?
The Merchant Centre comes on the back of a tumultuous year for Groupon, which has seen the company’s share price slide and rival deal sites gain ground.
The new feature is the latest in a series of recent products, including Groupon Scheduler and Groupon Rewards, that the company hopes will attract more merchants in 2012.
