It’s not hard to find an infographic or chart detailing how consumers are using social media, but what about marketers?
A new study from Social Media Examiner sheds light on these secret social lives.
Facebook first
Unsurprisingly, Facebook remains the firm favourite among marketers.
The study found 97 per cent of B2C marketers list Facebook as their social network of choice, while Facebook is slightly less popular with B2B marketers, who report an 89 per cent adoption rate for Facebook.
The groups are evenly split when it comes to Twitter, with 81 per cent of B2B and 86 per cent of B2B using the platform.
Split the difference
Once you get past Facebook and Twitter what comes next is more revealing, with B2B and B2C marketers split between platforms.
It turns out B2B marketers are much more invested in LinkedIn (88 per cent vs 59 per cent), while image-heavy networks like Instagram and Pinterest are more popular with B2C marketers.
Both groups are evenly split when it comes to Snapchat (one per cent each).
