Facebook is partnering with music companies from around the globe to make listening an even more enjoyable experience.
Post the good vibes
Facebook wants users to engage and express with music in new and interesting ways, exclusively through their platform and with a new feature called Lip Sync Live.
Special occasions, from weddings to birthdays, can now be coupled with music into posts.
What makes this such an interesting prospect isn’t that you can simply add music. Facebook has been drumming up deals with major record labels, so we may be talking about more than stock music beats.
‘bout the singing
Lip Sync Live will allow users to sing to their favourite tunes, with classics like “Welcome to the Jungle” and more modern singles like “Havana,” though a full list is of upcoming songs is not yet available.
Users simply select Lip Sync Live when starting a Live video. When a song is selected from the preloaded playlist, descriptions and customisations can be added, along with any other video edits.
Friends will be able to see the song and artist information highlighted on the video and can even tap to follow the artist. Depending on how expansive the music list is, the feature could hit top of the charts.
What do you think about Lip Sync Live? Do you think adding music to posts will bring more excitement to content? Give us your two cents in the comments below.
