LinkedIn has unveiled a new voice messaging system meant to encourage members to add a bit of personality to their professional profile.
Hello with gusto
Driving engagement once more is another innovation from the professional networking site that allows users to create minute-long voice recordings.
Android and iOS users alike can start playing back their own voice messages via PC and smartphone platforms.
The development was spearheaded by product manager Zack Hendlin, and designed to be easy to use.
Easy to use
According to Hendlin, “simply tap the microphone icon in the mobile messaging keyboard, then tap and hold on the microphone in the circle to record your message and release your finger to send. If you want to cancel before sending, slide your finger away from the microphone icon while holding it down.”
Though the instructions may not be riveting, the new dynamic in presenting yourself professionally may be about to take on a whole new dimension.
What do you think about the new messaging feature? Is it time to start practicing up that singing voice? Let us know in the comments below.
