Are you a selfie fanatic looking to take your power portraits to the next level?
Microsoft's newest release might have the answer to your picture prayers.
Twist and shout out
Microsoft Selfie is an iOS app designed to create and share 'smart' selfies.
It does this by using some whiz-bang software that detects a variety of factors including the subject's age, gender, and skin tone.
Once it analyses your selfie, you can add a series of advanced filters with colourful names including 'Cool' and '1965'.
Effects can be further manipulated with a slider tool, and Microsoft says its filters also assist with noise reduction, automatic exposure, and colour theme.
Snap it up
The app came from Microsoft Garage, the company's testbed for new and innovative projects that has in the past whipped up photo mash up app Twist and MyMoustache.net, which lets users compare their mo's.
With selfies one of the most popular forms of expression on Instagram and Tumblr, Microsoft Selfie might help selfie tragics get that extra edge (and lighting angle) just right.
