It's that time of year when search engines release their annual list of the most searched terms, and this year twerking and tech have come up tops on Yahoo.
Twerk
Celebrities, video games and healthcare dominated the top ten list. Coming it at no. 1 was Miley Cyrus, followed by Kim Kardashian, Kate Upton.
Coming in at fourth spot is the computer game Minecraft, while Obamacare ranked sixth and iPhone 5 scraped in at ninth spot (still ahead of Justin Bieber in tenth position).
What's that?
Yahoo users are a curious bunch and flocked to the search engine with all manner of queries in 2013. The top question is “What is Twerking” followed by “What is Obamacare” and “What caused power outage”.
Making up the list include questions about what is a hashtag, what is harlem shake and what time is the witching hour.
Food craze
Food is always a big topic online and 2013 was no exception. The top five food terms for the year are cronuts (a mix betweeen croissants and donuts), coconut oil, twinkies, ramen burger and Dorito locos taco
iPhone takes gold
When it comes to tech Apple products remain a firm favourite online. The iPhone topped the list, while the iPad made it to fourth place and the iPod at number eight.
The Amazon Kindle and Samsung Galaxy took out places two and three respectively.
