It's been around for a decade now and seems to go from strength to strength. In fact, it's never looked healthier.
Love it or hate it, there's no escaping Facebook and its growing network of subsidiaries, properties and interests.
Here's a quick look at the latest stats from the fantastical world of Facebook.
Fanbase
Facebook is the largest social network in the world by a long shot. The most recent figures reveal there are now over 1.44 billion monthly active users – more than double that of nearest rival Twitter.
Of these, 936 million check in daily.
Lots of Likes
Over 72% of US adults visit Facebook monthly, and the average female user has 250 friends.
Most users spend at least 20 minutes every day Facebooking. Over a quarter admit to checking Facebook while driving.
Young guns
Facebook is popular across virtually all age groups.
Over 91% of Millennials (aged 18 – 34 years) are on Facebook, while one third of US seniors have signed up.
Some 83% of parents are Facebook friends with their teenager.
Mobile movement
To say Facebook is kind of a big deal on mobile is an understatement.
At present 1.2 billion mobile Facebook users access the network monthly, while close to 800 million do so daily.
Indeed, 581 million Facebook users are mobile-only, and mobile ad revenue was Facebook's most profitable sector in the past quarter.
Expanding horizons
Facebook has its fingers in lots of pies including Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp.
It's also stamped its authority on video this year, with over 4 billion videos now watched every day.
And the country where Facebook is most popular? Canada.
