Two years after Pinterest launched Promoted Video, marketers are working with businesses to build on that foundation and take the feature in bigger directions.
Take it to the max
Having found that users are 2.6X more likely to make a purchase after engaging with a video, Pinterest has the tips and tricks to make your video standout.
According to Pinterest’s analytics, 67% of video viewers claim the site inspired them to make a purchase, which is impressive considering other platforms generally inspire 32% of users into becoming buyers.
Using a 16:9 ratio when displaying a video has seen success for brands like Adidas, American Express, Chevrolet, Paramount Pictures, and Tropicana.
Demos and how-tos
Videos focused on storytelling as well as instructional videos are resonating with Pinners the most, while Promoted Video is helping drive brand favourability and increasing purchase intent.
The latest features can be found through Pinterest’s Ads Manager in the coming months, but brands can get involved now through Pinterest directly or one of their marketing partners.
