Here's a small but handy update for video conference callers: scheduled Skype calls are soon coming to Android.
Calling in
The feature lets users schedule as many Skype calls as their heart desires, directly from their Android device.
Simply tap the 'Schedule a call' in the options on your phone, and you'll be sent to Outlook to schedule a call time with your contacts.
After you've locked in a date, Skype will send each participant a shareable link to join the call at the agreed time.
Timing is everything
The update is part of a wider rehashing of Skype's increased functionality with Android.
For example, MS Office files can now be opened directly on your phone from clicking within Skype – provided you have the Word, Excel and Powerpoint apps installed.
The update could prove handy for marketers holding conference calls with colleagues in clients in different regions and timezones.
Sorry Mac fans- at the time of writing there was no word on an iOS equivalent.
