Digit is an app designed to help boost your savings. It does this in a slightly unconventional way: by transferring small amounts from your everyday account and squirrelling them away in your savings account.

Once you enter your bank details, Digit analyses your income and expenses so it can determine safe amounts of money to set aside and kick-start your savings.

Baby steps

Over a week Digit might take anything from $5 – $50 a few times a week, and sends you a daily account balance so you can see how much you’re putting away.  

Savings can be accessed at any time, and the app and offers a no-overdraft guarantee.
