While a Powerpoint presentation might be the cornerstone of many business pitches, powering your slideshow can often be a pain.
Easing the strain is a new app from Microsoft.
Click and go
Office Remote is an Android app that lets users control Powerpoint presentations through their smartphone.
The free app connects your smartphone to your PC via Bluetooth and includes the ability to play and pause slides, embed audio and video clips, and switch between different views.
You have the Power
Users need to have Microsoft Office 2013 installed on their PC for Office Remote to work. And as a bonus the app also works with Excel and Word.
Super spreadsheets
Excel users can zoom, scroll, use filters and switch between worksheets using Office Remote.
While in Word the app has similar bells and whistles, along with the ability to add comments to documents.
Office Remote was originally available for the Windows 8 phone, and is now free for all Android users. At the time of writing there are no plans for an iOS version.
