SMK’s app of the week: Quora

If you're looking to expand your mind, seeking knowledge or just after some new ways to think about your job, Quora is the place for you.

The website is a question and answer forum where a vast community of users ask, answer, and curate questions across a broad range of topics.

Now that knowledge is on tap via their snappy mobile app.

Question time

Fittingly, the app was developed after repeated questions from Quora's users about when it would be created.

The result is a sleek program that makes delving through the vast amounts of knowledge on Quora easy and accessible.

All the regular features are available, including the option to post and answer questions, as well as the ability to search through popular and trending topics.

Push notifications let you know when your question has been answered after you've left the app.

Local knowledge

If you want to connect with nearby clever clogs, the app's Nearby feature shows which topics are being discussed in your area.

And if you're not sure exactly what you're after, the Shuffle feature presents random topics for you to digest.

Share the wealth

Finally, if you want to share all your new-found wisdom the Quora app allows users to share their questions and answers on social platforms and personal blogs.

And like its parent website the app comes free, and ad-free.
