Second comings aren’t common in the often cut-throat world of apps, but there are exceptions.
Today’s case in point: the re-imagining of Remember the Milk.
Milk It
Remember the Milk was all the rage when the productivity app launched way back in 2005, before anyone had ever heard of Likes, tweets, and snaps.
Fast forward a few years and Remember the Milk was overtaken by newer, slicker offerings from Todoist and Evernote.
Proving it’s far from going sour, Remember the Milk has just launched a completely overhauled product.
Dairy goes digital
Remember the Milk 4.0 has been rebuilt from the ground up, and looks very pretty.
The app lets users tag and colour code their to-do lists, making it easier to keep track of tasks. Sub-task lists can also be created to help break things down.
We also like the tasks be allocated a start date, with reminders built in.
Cream of the crop
The app also lets you share tasks with colleagues, while your to-do lists can be updated when you’re offline.
While Remember the Milk’s facelift doesn’t necessarily put it light years ahead of its productivity rivals, it levels the playing field and could appeal to users familiar with the product, or those looking for something different.
Remember the Milk is now available for iOS, Android, Amazon Fire, Blackberry and Mac. Linux and Windows versions will launch later this year.
