In the fast moving (some might say merciless) world of apps, Tweetbot is something of an exception.
For many years Tweetbot has built up a reputation as one of the best iOS apps for Twitter users. Now Tweetbot 4.0 has just been released, giving users even more bells and whistles.
Here’s what you need to know.
Tweetbot 4.0 is now fully compatible with iPhone and iPad, with the iPad version in particular getting some nifty new features.
A slick new design is optimised to work with Apple’s recently released iOS 9.
This means users can take advantage of features such as Split View for multi-tasking on the iPad, landscape support for iPhone, and Safari View Controller, which gives access to features such as content blockers and Safari extensions.
There’s also a new Statistic and Activity View, Quick Reply to Notifications capability, and an improved user interface.
Plus there’s all the expected functionality of a third-party Twitter app, such as support of multiple Twitter accounts, synching across devices, analytics and Push Notifications.
But one of Tweetbot’s main draw cards is how fun it can be to use. Day and Night modes can be flicked between with a swipe, while buttons and tabs feature bright vibrant colours.
And sometimes a bit of fun can be the difference between #boring or #brilliant.
