Social curation platform Storify, which allows users to create a narrative based around a current issue using pictures, videos and text, has extended its story-telling options with Storify Business.
Storytelling sell
Storify began as a free service letting users to pull content from social media platforms and craft it into a cohesive story that can be shared.
The platform has been extremely successful, especially among journalists. The Denver Post won a Pulitzer Prize for its Storify-powered coverage of the Aurora, Colorado shootings.
Storify for Business is extending the narrative olive branch to brand and agencies.
Tall tales
In late march Storify launched a VIP service that was aimed at media organisations. Storify Business is less focused on traditional media and aimed at professional journalists, agencies, brands and bloggers, according to its website.
Users pay a monthly fee of US $59 and can access premium features such as private stories. Storify claims this content can be adopted for internal reports, company communications and person research.
To sweeten the deal users also receive enhanced customer support and access to custom story embeds, meaning they can be modified to reflect a company's branding.
