Uploaded to YouTube on 5 March, the now famous Kony 2012 video by activist group Invisible Children has been viewed over 52 million times. Whilst not everyone agrees with the content in the almost 30 minute long piece, it has certainly garnered huge media coverage worldwide. Several response videos have also cropped up claiming that the facts outlined in the piece are outdated. This piece has jumped from around 1,200 to over 84,000 views in a day.
Girlfriend of One Direction band member Liam Payne, Danielle Peazer has had some unsavoury tweets directed at her, causing a stir. Boyfriend Payne has jumped to Peazer's defence, and unsurprisingly, gossip sites have had a field day.
#AusPol continues to trend strongly.
