Better late than never, as they say.
Twitter has finally released a half decent analytics tools.
Measuring up
The metrics come in the form of the Tweet activity dashboard.
The dashboard features in a similar design to Google Analytics, offering data including how users engage with tweets in real time, month-on-month activity and tweet trends over time.
You can also click on any tweet to get more detailed metrics such as retweets, replies, favourites and follows.
Data is updated in real time and all reports can be downloaded.
Get cracking
The dashboard is available to all users who primarily tweet in English, French, Japanese, and Spanish, and have had a Twitter account for at least 14 days. A wider roll out is expected later this year.
To access the dashboard simply visit analytics.twitter.com and enter your Twitter username and password.
Smart move
While Twitter actually launched this dashboard back in July, it was only available to advertisers and verified users.
By opening up the data to all, it will make it easier for users and brands to see what's really working in 140 characters.
