Twitter has just sweetened the deal for advertisers by adding the ability to schedule tweets.
Timing is everything
Now any advertiser using Twitter's Ad Products can schedule their tweets up to a year in advance. For those that produce an avalanche of content tweets can be scheduled as often as every minute.
Twitter explained in a blog post that these tweets can be coordinated to go live with new or existing Promoted Tweet campaigns.
Bringing home the bacon
While the update isn't revolutionary – social media management tools like HootSuite have long offered a similar service – it does mark another way that Twitter is gradually tightening up the way its user data is used by third-party providers.
By bringing advertisers closer, Twitter might convince them to spend more time, and by extension more advertising dollars, on the platform.
