In an effort to popularise their existing messenger service, Google is bringing a unique auto-generated sticker function to their Allo app.
Selfie to stylised sticker in a snap
Allo will allow users to generate entire sticker packs based on simple selfies. Each can be personalised and tweaked thanks to a robust range of facial features and emotive expressions.
Google worked with research team Machine Perception to tailor an advanced algorithm that hones in on features of an individual’s face, creating a simplified but recognisable cartoonish result.
Quadrillions of possibilities
A plethora of illustrations are provided based on the abstraction of characteristics. Digital artist Lamar Abrams has provided various hairstyles and face shapes to help customize the cartoon you.
Allo boasts a staggering amount of possible combinations in generating the definitive sticker version of your selfie, which is then used in turn to generate a spectrum of facial stickers available for any conversation.
Available for iOS and Android, selfie stickers are here. Does this unique feature entice you as a user to download the Allo App?
