Size might not matter, but speed does.
At least according to Facebook – which has warned advertisers to speed up their mobile website load times, or risk being cut adrift.
Faster higher better
Facebook calculates the speed of advertisers' mobile sites when delivering ads.
Ad Age reports that if these websites load too slowly Facebook could stop these ads from displaying, according to Facebook's Director of Ad Products and Marketing, Matthew Idema.
"The speed with which a mobile website will load is one factor our ad delivery system will use to determine which ads to show which people," Mr. Idema reported.
Lean and mean
Facebook data suggests 40% of users will go elsewhere if a mobile page takes longer than three seconds to load.
To help get the most mojo mobile, Facebook will be releasing guidelines for advertisers on how to create faster websites.
If you haven't already, now is the time to make sure you're mobile ready, and speedy.
