Taking photos with our devices is second nature. Unfortunately, that tends to mean that unwanted photos have a habit of piling up pretty quickly. Sorting through them all to decide which to keep and which to bin can be a tedious chore.
Slidebox is slick photo-management app that lets users easily sort the keepers from the space-wasters.
Previously only available for iOS, the app dubbed ‘tinder for photos’ Slidebox has just been released for Android devices.
Here’s how it works:
Friendly Gestures
Using a couple simple gestures, Slidebox lets users quickly flip through their photos and flick away the ones you don’t want to keep.
To move through the photos on your device, you simply swipe left or right to flip back and forth through your photos. To get rid of an unwanted, storage-space consuming snap, you simply give the photo an upward flick towards the trash bin icon.
This marks the picture as “trash” within the Slidebox app, but doesn’t actually delete the photo from your device. It’s a nice fail-safe so that you don’t delete something by accident.
To delete photos permanently, you click on the trash icon in the app and select ‘Delete Photos’. To recover them, select ‘ Recover Photos’. Simple.
No SD Support Yet
At release, the Android version only offers support for photos stored on your device’s internal storage. However, the app claims that SD support for Android is not far away.
