Twitter is reportedly testing a new feature that allows brands to pin apps straight to their Twitter profiles.
Pin to win
According to The Next Web, the new feature has been spotted on a number of verified Twitter business accounts, including Vine and Uber.
On these accounts, a window beneath the profile information contains details about the brand's app, along with a link to download or open the app.
Mobile moments
While the feature is in beta at the moment, it's easy to see how this feature could be winner for brands with multiple apps. For example, Instagram might include a link to its time-lapse app Hyperlapse.
The move also indicates that Twitter is looking to position itself more directly in the app discovery and download market.
