Five ways to make a mobile-friendly website

With more people browsing and buying from mobile devices, it has never been more important for businesses to have a professional mobile presence.

Mobify employs an easy to use graphical interface that can have your mobile site up and running in no time. For companies with an online store Mobify's Mobile Commerce platform is specifically designed for supporting e-commerce for mobile.

The basic service is free, while plans including all the bells and whistles (white label branding, analytics) start at $249 per month.

Wirenode

Big brands like Reebok and Vodafone use Wirenode to deliver their mobile website needs. Wirenode's helpful editor makes building a mobile-optimised website easy, and includes a range of options including images galleries, polls and forms and Google Maps API.

MobiSiteGalore

MobiSiteGalore is good for users who don't want a regular template, but don't necessarily need a custom-designed mobile site. This tool boasts a huge range of designer templates that can be extensively customised.

MobilePress

Websites based on the WordPress publishing platform have a number of free plugins designed to create a mobile-friendly version of your site. Two to consider include MobilePress and WordPress Mobile Edition.
