What’s better than paid influencers? Free ones who actively advocate your brand online in the same way.
One start-up is harnessing the power of such advocates for the strategic benefit of brands online.
One born every minute
They call themselves Photoslurp, and they’re sucking up every last drop of free branded content on social media.
The idea is to facilitate the integration of user generated content into ‘native advertising’ strategies.
Photoslurp aims to increase conversion rates by automatically identifying usable visual user generated content on social media.
Suck it up
It trawls for tagged images and videos on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. The mentions are then made ‘shoppable’.
The platform’s AI selects and suggests user content from social channels.
Businesses then manually select ones to use as social proof of their products’ appeal.
By the numbers
Photoslurp’s backs its claims with numbers, but they’re not totally sure.
The platform’s website reports a 30% average increase in conversions.
Yet elsewhere on the site, Photoslurp reports that their clients see a 15% conversion rate increase.
Depending on which you trust, it sounds like either a great improvement, or decent one.
Care for a straw?
Photoslurp is a software as a service (SaaS) platform. If you’re interested in the service, you can request a demo via their website.
Is there space for a free content-collator in your marketing strategy?
