Perhaps getting sentimental in its old age, Facebook wants to get the kids together more often these days.
Facebook recently tested unified notifications across Messenger and Instagram. Now it’s letting you place Messenger Ads on Instagram.
Location, location
This means you can now place ‘click to Messenger’ ads within Instagram. When a user clicks on the ad, they’ll be redirected to Messenger where they can start a conversation with your business.
Users will also be able to explore your Messenger content, including text, image, and video messages.
Until now, Facebook was the only place you could place ‘click to Messenger’ ads.
Baked in
Facebook says the ads will help brands by bringing their Instagram fans into a more active conversation, and give users more options to interact with features such as live chat.
There are now 1.2 billion users on Messenger, and 2 billion messages are sent every month between users and businesses.
In case you were wondering, over 100,000 bots now roam the platform.
Do you use Messenger for your business? Let us know how in the Comments.
