Google has released an update that makes it easier to see what your friends like on Google+
Word of mouth
From this week Google will highlight content that has been +1'd (Google+'s equivalent of a 'Like') in users' Google+ stream.
In an effort to promote positive re-enforcement, users' posts that have proved popular with the Google+ community will also be highlighted.
Pay it forward
The update means users will now be able to better take the pulse of what their friends are liking. However it's worth noting that content will only be highlighted in the circles they've been posted in.
So a post in your friends circle will not appear in your colleagues circle, for example.
Users wanting to keep their +1's private can manage their permissions within the Settings page on Google+.
Sharing is caring
The feature will give brands an easier way to take the pulse of their Google+ followers, as well as potentially extending the reach of content on Google+.
