Recently, we mentioned that Google was set to invite agencies to do their third-party services all over Google My Business. Now, the big G has officially launched it via the The Keyword blog, and shared the link to sign-up for it.
Guide and help
Two major parts of the official launch are the newly minted Guide for agencies who are ready to take on the My Business tasks, plus a Help Centre for the ones who get stuck along the way.
Basically, the guide details four integral steps for agencies: register, create location groups, access your customers’ locations, and create user groups.
For anyone who’s been managing locations previously, they can also consolidate them all into a single account. Should make things a bit more manageable by reducing the number of logins and accounts to maintain.
Reasons to do
The new dashboard lets agencies efficiently manage thousands of locations under a single account. You can also send and receive invitations to manage listings and track the status of those requests.
There’s those aforementioned ‘Location Groups’ and ‘User Groups’, as well as a necessary search function to sort through the depth that will swell now the capabilities have been granted.
Is the potential reward from a well-managed Google My Business listing enough to justify the extra effort required by this expanded lot?
