It’s been another big year in social and at SMK this year. We’ve conducted scores of training courses around Australasia as well as numerous in-house sessions with some of the leading brands in the region.
And of course the SMK blog has been following the evolving, sometimes controversial but always exciting world of social media.
Some of our highlights in 2013 have been the Instagram vs Vimeo video wars, the rise of photos as currency,Twitter's IPO, the evolution of LinkedIn and the seemingly inexorable rise of mobile.
And with Australian digital spending increasing 2014 looks set to be the biggest year yet in social. We look forward to exploring how video ads work on Facebook and Instagram, seeing if Vine can survive and how the platforms balance their increasing advertising space with the user experience.
Whatever happens, we’ll be there to cover it for you in 2014.
To all our readers have a safe and happy holiday season.
