Instagram injects Music into Stories

Looking for that extra something to jazz up your 'Gram Stories? Now you can add music to your Instagram soundtrack.

Mobile music

It works like this: simply add a sticker to a photo or video in Stories, and you'll be greeted with a new music icon.

Tap it to access a library of thousands of songs, which can be searched via title, genre, and what's trending. Once selected, you can edit any part of the song to fit your Story's length and mojo.

Music video

The update also extends to video. Now before recording a video on Instagram, you can select the music option under the record button. After selecting a song, it will play in the background as you film.

Your friends will be able to hear your tunes when viewing your Story, and also see the song title and artist name.

Muse It

The musical update in now available in select countries, but only on iOS for now. Androiders will have to wait. 

With 400 million daily Story users, expect your Instagram feed to get a lot noisier real soon.
