Instagram Search gets more like Facebook

Instagram is trialling a new search feature that gives you more info about other users and accounts.

Searching for answers?

Certain users can now access a refreshed search page on the Instagram app that closely resembles Facebook's search layout.

The rehashed search features users with large followers, and whether they have a verified account.

You can also see who in your follower list is following high profile users.

Make it count

With Instagram advertising ramping up this year, this update makes it easier to find influencers – something that could help brands looking to connect with relevant taste-makers.

While the new search is still being tested, don't be surprised if this minor but handy update gets a wider roll out shortly.
