In an ongoing effort to boost Stories, Facebook has been testing a new feature to share Instagram Stories directly to Facebook.
Instant Instagram on your Facebook
Facebook’s me-too version of Snapchat’s Stories has yet to find its stride in comparison, so it seems adding a direct to Facebook share option is more than a natural step.
On-the-fly photo and video uploads is engrained in both Facebook and Instagram users, making the new feature a no brainer for Facebook Inc. to intermix the functionality of both its apps.
The ability to seamlessly post Instagram Stories directly to Facebook may give an edge over Snapchat that the company has been looking for.
Stories moving onto a new chapter
Added back in August of 2016, Facebook Stories has been taking a significant bite out of Snapchat’s popularity but has yet to supplant the competition in the Stories arena.
However, Instagram’s Stories use has been favourable, making the easy-to-use porting that much more of a possible game changer.
Though Snapchat may have the younger users, Facebook’s Instagram is able to allow more inter-app functionality which very well could turn the tide on an already storied battle.
