The challenge
With the largest range of denim in Australia, Jeanswest found shoppers were overwhelmed with the choices available.
The customer
Jeanswest shoppers are tech-savvy, young and price-motivated.
The solution
DDB Group created an iPad app, iDenim Match, which is run on iPads located in-store and displayed on a large screen. The app helps customers navigate the range to find an appropriate style. Shoppers profile the jeans they require by selecting descriptors from categories including occasion, style, wash and specialty jeans. Appropriate styles are presented and the jeans can be viewed from different angles, and the iPad used to swipe and zoom. Movies play automatically while product strengths are highlighted.
Sales
Once a decision is made, sales (like a two jeans for $109 offer) can be highlighted and other styles suggested. Styles can be bookmarked, and provided to the customer to try on by sales assistants.
Production
Over 54,000 images of jeans on models have been stitched together into high resolution movies.
Future
Whilst the app has not yet been tested on iTunes, Jeanswest has not ruled out the possibility.
