LinkedIn Groups has been overhauled with a new look intended to keep conversations between professionals going.
Groupthink
Groups are one of the most popular features on the LinkedIn, there are currently more than 2 million Groups covering almost any area you can think of – from entrepreneurship and philanthropy to digital marketing.
Groups have just received an overhaul that makes it easier for Group managers and Group members to customise the conversations they are having.
“We’re happy to begin rolling out this new look to our English speaking members today…so LinkedIn Groups can continue to be a destination for professionals to gain important insights, ask questions, share ideas and engage with others every day,” wrote LinkedIn's Product Manager Daria Axelrod Marmer in a blog post.
Streamlined
LinkedIn paired the announcement with an infographic showing some compelling reasons why Groups, besides looking slicker, are good for networking.
There are currently 8000 Groups created every week and 200 conversations happening every minutes across LinkedIn Groups.
On average, a LinkedIn user will join seven Groups and people who engage in Group discussions get an average of four times as many profile views.
