LinkedIn might have 220 million users, but some are more influential than others. Now LinkedIn is allowing all users to engage with industry leaders.
Influential update
LinkedIn's Influencer program has featured high-profile business leaders and politicians including Barack Obama, Bill Gates and Richard Branson.
Over 300 professionals are now active in the Influencer program, with Influencer posts garnering around 25,000 views on average. Bill Gates’ first post amassed 1 million page views in 48 hours.
Spread the love
Now users can comment, like or reply directly to messages left by other users on Influencer posts.
The model is similar to tagging Facebook friends and allows users to mention other LinkedIn members, who will receive a notification when mentioned.
More the merrier
While the update doesn't mean you'll necessarily be swapping email addresses with the US President anytime soon, is does open a new way for professionals with similar interests to connect.
